The Major Matters AI Tools Directory rates every tool we review across five standardised criteria. No tool pays for placement. No score is influenced by partnerships. This page is the single source of truth for how every tool in our directory performs.

How We Score

Every tool receives a rating from 1 to 5 across five dimensions. The overall score is a weighted average that reflects what matters most to teams evaluating these products.

Integration & API Quality (25%) — How clean are the APIs? How fast can a team go from signup to first successful call? We evaluate SDKs, sandbox environments, and developer experience.

Documentation & Transparency (20%) — Is the documentation complete, current, and well-organised? Do they publish changelogs, status pages, and migration guides?

Pricing Transparency (20%) — Can you find pricing without talking to sales? Are there published rate cards, usage calculators, or at minimum a clear breakdown of what you are paying for?

Compliance & Security (20%) — What certifications does the vendor hold (SOC 2, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, GDPR)? How do they handle data residency and access controls?

Support & Ecosystem (15%) — What does post-sale support look like? Community forums, dedicated CSMs, SLA-backed response times, partner integrations?
