Today, we are launching v1 of the MM Verified AI Tools Directory. It covers 24 tools across nine categories, each rated on an eight-point weighted scoring framework. No sponsorships. No affiliate links. No pay-to-play.

The directory spans the infrastructure that actually powers modern payments, AI, and commerce operations. Nine categories, from fraud prevention and identity verification to agentic commerce and developer tools.

Every review includes a detailed breakdown of what the tool does well, where it falls short, and who it is actually built for.

Ratings are not gut feelings. Each tool is evaluated across eight weighted criteria: Accuracy and Reliability (20%), Documentation and Transparency (15%), Compliance and Security (15%), Setup and Onboarding (10%), Integration Ecosystem (10%), Scalability (10%), Support Quality (10%), and Pricing Transparency (10%).

The payments and AI space is moving fast. New tools ship weekly. Vendor comparison sites are funded by the vendors they review. Enterprise buyers are left reading marketing decks disguised as analysis.

We started Major Matters to cut through that. The directory is the natural extension of what we do with every article: take complex infrastructure, test it against real criteria, and tell you what actually works.
